So I totally turned 18...

Yes it's true...I'm officially an adult. But what does that entail? I'm kind of nervous to be just an adult so suddenly! I'm also kind of excited because it's another chapter in my life that I want leap into without knowing what will happen next. I want to be the best person I can...and I know that with help in ALL directions I truly can be :)

My heart in poetry form

So basically I don't let anyone read my poetry...but here goes nothing!

Gaze

Pure and deep,

His eyes green with gold.

Does he look at mine,

Or is it a one way street?

His gaze beckons me to come but,

He grabs the hand of the girl,

He was gazing at.

Only this time

Only for a minute I

would

like to skydive.

I would love to dive

into the sky

and just fall.

Only once could I tell you,

"I love you".

Not now, but sometime,

In this lifetime.

Only this time.

Jewels

A single, sparkling

Diamond falls from a

silver sky.

It lands on my eyelash.

I blink.

It's gone.

It feels wet and fresh.

Like the jewels that go by in our lives.

The little moments,

that make our life worth living.

Don't blink so fast,

and see the shining moments

shine in front of you.

Summer Lemonade

Like a cool glass,

of ice cold lemonade

He talks to me.

That refreshing sweetness

tingles my lips.

Makes me feel like I'm the only one.

That hot sun makes me

Thirsty.

Another sip couldn't hurt.

Forever

So I was thinking today about the rest of my life. What do I want? What do I strive for? It made me realize it's really simple. What I want is to be remembered. Not really famous, but I want to be that person that when people think of me they smile. They are glad that they knew me. I want to make a difference for the better in the world. I want to be a fighter, a lover, a person of value and honor. I want to be with someone forever. I'm not sure that I believe in soul mates, but I believe in finding love. Finding that person that you can't live without. That one person that you love so much it hurts. The one person that when they go away on a business trip or something, you can't sleep without them next to you.
I want to be a makeup artist. I want to create art, I want to make people feel beautiful because of what I do. I want to be one with color and texture, to breathe movement and emotion. I want love.
